I didn't know it was possible...

Tonight we are putting an offer in on a house (fingers crossed...). When Jacks and I were talking about whether we should get a new house, he said YES and ran away. A couple of minutes later he said to come see his new house...and this is what I found. I didn't think it was possible...but it looks like he's actually found a house smaller than our condo :)

Silly Stuff

Here are just a couple of funny things Jacks has been up to:

We got the infant car seat washed and ready for Baby Donovan's visit this weekend, and Jack decided he should really try it out...

But after he saw that first picture (isn't it funny how kids know to ask to see the pictures right away???) he decided he didn't look like a "baby" - so he made sure to be crying in the next one.

Monday night, Kara came over for dinner - we put the potatoes on the grill, and when we got down to grill the rest - we realized the gas was out, augh. Both tanks! Brad says just one more reason he's excited to have his own house (and his own grill!) So, we "grilled" in the oven instead :) Kip decided she would try to teach Jacks how to do a handstand.

After his concerns of her feet going through the wall (she hit them pretty hard, it was HILARIOUS - and the reason I would NOT do it myself!) went away, he decided to try it himself - but didn't get very far.

Weekend at the Farm

We went to the farm to help with "outside stuff" like mulching for Kasey's graduation coming up. Well - my Dad changed his mind, and instead had Brad help build a new swing set for the kiddos! It looks SO FUN, and although they didn't get it completely finished, it was already a hit. Here are some pics from the weekend...

Digging the first holes for the new "Palace" as Jacks calls it

"The human head weighs 8 pounds"

For G and Baby D...

Gina had a picture on her blog of Baby Donovan as a "Diaper Head". Jacks happened to be looking at their blog with me, and insisted he take a picture just like "Dahvun". So - Gina, this is for you :)

Going...going....GONE!

We did it - we accepted an offer tonight on our condo.  And despite our worries, it was a pretty good offer!

We are so thrilled - we can't even tell you how excited we are!  If all goes as planned, we will have our closing date on July 15 - now that means we need to find a new place to live! :)  Not a bad situation to be in!

Thanks, Newman for being so patient.  WE LOVE YOU, MAN!

Brad's Birthday

Sorry for the lack of posts...but we haven't been doing a whole lot lately! For B's birthday, we decided to take a trip to the zoo. Although yesterday was 97 degrees, Saturday was only 48. COLD. We spent most of the time inside, but in the ate afternoon it did warm up enough to get outside, too.

Happy Birthday, Brad!

Continued...

I just got the ultra sound picture scanned. Not a great shot, I know. We actually just did it impromptu (my name isn't even on the screen). I had already emptied my bladder, and the baby was a movin' and a shakin' (OH NO...NOT ALREADY) so it was really hard to get a great pic...but you get the idea! You can see his/her little eyes if you look close...that may be all you can really make out.

Party of FOUR

So - I feel like we've been waiting forever to tell the mass population about our very exciting news - WE'RE HAVING ANOTHER BABY!! We've told our families and close friends, but have been waiting until we knew all was good to let everyone else know. I'm 11.5 weeks, and yesterday we got to see our new little babe, and everything looks great.

Check out Jack's shirt....this is how we told my family over Easter. He doesn't quite understand the concept of a baby, but knows there is one in my tummy, and asks every day if the baby can come out today. Ooooh, it's going to be along wait. I'm due November 23, a Thanksgiving babe! He says it should be a baby girl, and we should name her "Flick". Our fish's name is Flick....so no coincidence there. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to come up with something better.

When we told my family - my sister Jess had the camera ready...and here are a few of their reactions :) It was so much fun knowing they were as excited as we were! (Oh yeah, and Jess knew the minute I did pretty much, so there was no surprise for her!)

This week, my friend Gina asked why I haven't put any pictures of myself on the blog in ages. And here is a simple answer. Check out the picture below. I'm taking one for the team and showing you what I look like most nights by about 7:00. I have been so pukey this pregnancy... with Jacks I would get headaches, but never any puking... I guess this time I was much overdo. Every afternoon, at about 2:00 it begins and doesn't stop until I go to bed for the most part. I have been having some good days, so I'm thinking the worst part is over (or hoping....desperately hoping) and I'm sure Brad is too. He has been so great about keeping Jacks entertained at night while I'm hanging my head in the toilet! Needless to say, I have not been ready for many pictures these days!

Thank you to everyone that has sent adorable cards and gifts - we're so thrilled to share our news!

Prom

Last weekend was Kasey's Senior Prom. When we were sitting at the Grand March, Jess and I counted how many proms our Mom and Dad have had to put all four of us girls through - and it was 11!! That includes two "overlaps"! Oh - all of those dresses, shoes, flowers...Oh my. Well - this was the last prom, and Kas definitely looked the part. She was so cute.

All of the girls and their dates came out to the farm to take some pictures, and Jack wouldn't stop standing next to Kas. When my Mom said "Jack, come over by Grandma so we can take pictures", Jacks came over with his head hung and said "Ah, GrandMA". So we told him when they were done he could sneak in for a picture...he was in heaven! Oh Lord, this boy...

The rest of the weekend the kids just played and played. Aves and Jacks were best friends the whole weekend...

Even shirtless buddies apparently!

(Oh yeah, and a quck note...Avery cut herself some bangs on Friday morning...and Jacks fell off of the steps and got himself a nice shiner Friday night. These two, I tell ya.)

There are two new baby kitties at the farm, and the kids really get a kick out of them. Beckett was so in love with them that I told Jess she should take one home with her, but we both agreed...Cute now, cats later! Ha.

Playdate

Let me start by saying that all of our friends with kids unfortunately don't live NEARLY as close to us as they should (hint hint...) ha.
Jacks still gets playdates...."grown-up" playdates! On Thursday nights, Darcy and Liz's husbands and Brad play softball together.  Since the weather was chilly this week, we decided to forgo the game and hang out instead.  We quickly learned we couldn't even finish half a story without Jacks needing something, so the attention turned to him.  And he LOOOOOVED it.
Can't you tell??
Oh yeah, and he's obsessed with balls.  The bigger the better, and Darcy had the biggest ever.

When we left, Jacks asked if Darc and Wiz were coming with us to the farm this weekend...I think they were a hit!
