Pierced!

Yep, we did it. We pierced Finley's ears.
When I took Fin in for her 2 month check-up, I asked her pediatrician when I could get her ears pierced...just for the sake of asking. I knew the answer would be 6 months old, but I thought I would check. When the doctor said I only have to wait until after her first shots, I couldn't get it off my mind...so about two weeks later, we got them done.
She did great. She only cried when we had to hold her still, and then was done. I know, some may think I'm cruel, but I think it's SO much better to do them when she won't remember...and come on, they're adorable!

We Look So Young...

Oh, how young Brad and I look in this picture...

This was taken on day two of our honeymoon, and today we celebrate our 4th anniversary.

Does anyone else hate their wedding photos? Because I just looked through all 1,476 of them (yes, that is the count) and found not ONE that I wanted to put up here for this post. Sigh....

The sad part is our wedding was so much fun...but that simply didn't get captured in our photos. Someday we're going to renew our vows. I'll wear the feathers in my hair I adore so much. I'll hire a really great photographer to capture the day...and our kids will be with us, and it will be a great big party. Those photos are going to ROCK. Yep, someday.

But back to today...because today and every day is awesome with my fun little family.
I love you, B...here's to the rest of our lives!!

Up North

We went up north in Mid-January again this year to spend a day with Brad's dad. This year was really nice since we decided to make it a weekend instead of a day trip. We stayed in a hotel in Brainerd and it was so great to break up the long drive.

Jacks and Brad had the pool to themselves in the afternoon, and I'm not sure who loved swimming more...Jacks getting thrown by Brad, or B trying to impress us with how high he could splash :)

That night, we decided Finners should try out the pool too - and she surprisingly loved the water...and I loved her little bikini!

Here is Miss Miya while opening gifts - she's such a hoot with the glasses and pants pulled way up :)

Melissa and the little ladies - Miya wasn't very fond of Mommy holding another baby!

And the boys having a wrapping paper fight - Jacks loves to see the kids, we only wish we could more often!

Kip

A few weeks ago, when Kara was on winter break, she spent a couple of days with us. The first day consisted of shopping, and the second was filled with lots of giggling, snuggling and doing a whole lot of nothing. It was so fun to have her around the house. I don't think I've spent that much time alone with Kip since I was in high school, how sad :(

Come back soon!
