{i have no words}

The other day, Brad called me in the morning in stitches. He could not stop laughing.
When he could finally take a breath, he only said "When you get to school today, you HAVE to look at what is on the wall outside Jack's classroom."

{Great, this sounds interesting}

We were going to surprise Jacks by taking him to the cafeteria for lunch. That's a big deal in pre-school land.

So I came with camera in tow knowing it was going to be a good one...and this is what I found.

A nice wall with "How do you cook a Thanksgiving turkey".

The kids had some pretty cute and funny responses...and then my eyes find my sweet little boy....

Yep - you are reading this right...

Well, Jacks...I have news for you. Your Mom DOES cook. And your Mom used to like to cook. Until every time I cook something that takes a long time and I get really excited for, you look at me and ask for a cold hot dog. And on occasion you go to bed hungry, because I'm sorry, I'm not going to take the time and pride to cook something in order for you to snack on a cold hot dog.

In all seriousness, I cracked up just hearing him say it. Because currently all sentences end with "you know...."

On top of it, he has just figured out that things like TURKEY and CHICKEN actually started out as animals....so just when he was beginning to eat meat...{sigh}. Little does he know where hot dogs come from.....

hunchback {part deuce}

Remember my hunchback?
B grabbed the camera to prove the existence....

Seriously, soon you'll be calling me Quasimodo.

one for the fans

You'd think with fans as cute as these, the Vikings could actually WIN a game or two....

Maybe tomorrow will be the day, huh??

a perfect mr. man

People, words can not express how excited Darcy and I were on what seemed to be the longest drive of our lives.

Carissa's little man is FINALLY HERE! We {im}patiently waited for Brad to get home from work so we could take off to visit the little man fresh out of the oven. Literally RUNNING into the hospital fighting over who got to hold him first.

We may or may not be a little baby obsessed. I'm fairly certain the smell of this little guy's head sent our hormones out of control, and made our not so babies seem twice as big as we knew they were.

Meet Mr. Cohen John Chap.

He has skin that any teenage girl would be jealous of, the tiniest little ears I have ever seen, and hair that his daddy and Brad would kill for.

His Mommy and Daddy looked so great, and were grins from ear to ear despite the fact that they had been up for about 40 hours...

I mean does it GET any more beautiful than this!? {Besides my perfect babies, clearly... hee hee}
Oh, babies...how they make my day.

big shoes to fill

Those are some big boots to fill, little lady.
She loves shoes as much as her Mama does. Her Daddy is in trouble.

go twinkies

Man, I really had a lot of old photos I was going to blog about in the past, and apparently never got around to it.

We were fortunate to go to a lot of Twins games this year since Brad and my Dad had season tickets.
At this particular game, my parents were given tickets, so the four of us all went together and had a ball.

Now if only next season we can get some POST season wins, that would top the cake!

a little late

This picture is from a few weeks ago, but hey - better late than never!?
We so rarely go out together as girls, and even less frequently take a picture, so I had to post it.

{Rach, Marissa, Beth, and Darcy}

I know I have said it before, but I truly do have the best girlfriends in the world.

takedown!

Sometimes all you need is a down and dirty wrestle match.

All I need are my pillow and a short skirt.
{Yes, yes I did used to be a cheerleader :) }

it's all about the hair, baby

Finster has recently realized how much fun it is to add some flair to your hair. And by flair, I mean food.

Nightly baths are a MUST these days.
And remember the fish face??
Finally captured...
But seriously, nice hair kiddo.

Serious celebrations are underway :)

what happened to my baby!?

You know, the baby that is supposed to be tiny and stay my baby forever!?

Someone told her that she should continue to grow up and be turning a year old WAY sooner than I would like her to be.

follow the yellow brick road

We were off to see the wizard this year for Halloween...

Jess came up with the idea for everyone to dress up like the cast from the Wizard of Oz, we were all on board.

Jacks was the Scarecrow, and Finley was Glinda the Good Witch. Perfection.
Avery made the perfect Dorothy, Tate as the Tin Man, and although he wasn't feeling very well, that made Beckers the Cowardly Lion even more cowardly :(

I'm pretty sure some days my kids {and B} think I'm the Wicked Witch, so why not, right??

If Aves had it her way, this is the way they would have spent the entire night....locked arm in arm skipping down the street. The boys had other things in mind...you know, like running and such.

Here's Darcy teaching Fin how to be the best little witch she can be...I love how she's listening so intently.

The Wicked Witch. I tried to get B in a flying monkey costume, but I failed.
{But really - how funny would that have been!?}

It was COLD this year, so this is how Fin spent most of the 45 minutes we were out. But she was a trooper let me tell ya! {and frankly, we needed no more candy than we got!}

playing hooky

So, what makes a day great!? Kidnapping your little man {and his Daddy} and taking them out to lunch.

A little hooky never killed anyone, right??
