Does it work? Do you see the gorgeous rainbow??

This picture was taken last week, I don't even remember what day it was. The bummer is, this picture does it ZERO justice. Becuase it was the brightest rainbow I have ever seen. It was a double rainbow. It was the first rainbow Jacks claims to have ever seen. Therefore, it deserved a picture...and it doesn't even compare to real life.

I will get the other pictures up again...at least that's my plan! :)

Hmph.....and hmph.

So - nope, my blog is NOT working. Not working at all. I have even Google stumped. GOOGLE, people.

She's Coming.....

Kara moves in tomorrow...and we are SO excited. Kasey moved in to Jess' house on Thursday. Do you know what that means? ALL FOUR Peterson girls will be living within about 6 blocks of each other. ALL SUMMER. Watch out world...

And just because I haven't shown you before...

We put gymnastic rings up in our basement for Jacks in the winter to burn off some energy. Needless to say, he's now an expert.

Maybe Next Year

This is Jacks...LONGING to be playing soccer with the other 500 kids every Monday night behind our house...too bad you have to be four to join....maybe next year.

Circle de Mayo

This year for my birthday, Brad and I decided to play hooky (you know..PTO style) and go to the Twins game. I'm not going to lie...it was COOOOLD. I hadn't yet been to Target Field though, so we did a ton of walking around which was just as fun!

I took Brad's picture with just the grass behind him...because he claims this is eventually what our yard will look like. Sigh...the life of marrying a baseball player...

And this is me...true Rachel style...with a blanket. (Just ask Gary Pankake!)

And on every birthday (OK, not every birthday....I was preggers last year) I take a shot of Patron. I blame the love of tequila on my holiday birthday!


This year it just happened to come in the classiest of glasses...a plastic Twins cup. Oh yeah - and a reminder for next year...they do NOT chill anything, even if you ask! :)

And why the post title?

I was trying to think of a clever sign to bring to the game to get "Circled by Bert" so Jess came up with the phrase "Circle de Mayo - it's my Birthday!" Now if I would have remembered to actually MAKE the sign, it would have been sweet. HA. Next year......next year.

How can these two NOT make my day?!

Jacks had a little "Muffins with Mommy" party at school where they baked and served us muffins, and they learned a song for us too...I did get video of him at preschool doing it, but I made him re-enact today about 15 times for "Mommy's Day" as he calls it.

Mommy and Me Time

Since Fin has been born, we try to do things with just Jacks every once in a while. (Side note - every time I put those words together, I think of Will and Grace....."JUST JACK!") ANYWAY....

Sunday night was my date with Jacks. We had so much fun, laughing, playing and just enjoying each other.

On the way home, we were playing "I spy". After about 5 minutes, we had to get creative (Come on, how many times can you pick green grass or a grey building??) Jacks said "I spy someone beautiful......" Augh, that's one for the books...and one I hope he uses with his kids when he grows up. I bet it could even work on his wifey :)

Heart Melters

Have I mentioned before how much we love our nieces and nephews?

Oh - I have? Ok, no need to gush. But come ON - they're adorable.

We love playdates. In fact, Jacks asks EVERY DAY for one. Every.Single.Day. Augh.

I'm pretty sure Aves is going to be the best babysitter some day! Plus, they matched, so she insisted on pictures. And when someone ASKS to take a picture? It's hard for me to put the camera away :)

Smile, boys. No Jack...smile....not chubby face. Jack?? Are you hurt? JACK!? Hopeless.

Kara saw this picture on my fridge this weekend and requested a copy. All of them sitting together. And no one is making a super weird face? THAT is the weird part!

Nothing beats a little hop-scotch.

Zip-A-Dee Doo-Dah

A few weeks ago Jacks had a Zip-A-Dee Doo-Dah party at pre-school.

I know...you're thinking what I was when I saw the invite...HUH!?

Jack's entire class learned how to zip their own jackets. I can only imagine how exciting that was for his teachers since they go in and out at least twice a day! So they had a party to celebrate.

Jacks was so proud. Proud to have his Mom there to help celebrate with him (Brad drops off and picks up every day, so it's extra special when I show up!) And proud to show off his skills. Complete with a song and awards ceremony...it was pretty adorable.
